Creating and Managing Playtests
Updated over a week ago

Playtests are a common way to organize and get feedback on your game, both from your internal team members, or players from your community. Live Aware provides functionality to make organizing and operating playtests easy.

On the left side of your dashboard, you will find a Playtesters heading. This allows you to view and organize all playtesters across your entire project. You will see all team members added to this list and marked with the Internal tag. Here you can create External playtesters, which is any individual you’d like to give access to Livestream a playtest, without giving them access to log into your Live Aware dashboard.

Playtests are defined under each Event by selecting Playtest Setup. There, you can add playtesters from your Project’s Playtesters group, or create new External playtesters.

There are two ways to add External playtesters to your project.

The first way is to add playtesters directly to your Playtesters group using the Playtesters button in the left sidebar.

Sending Playtesters Codes or Links

Internal Playtesters can use a link to automatically launch and configure the Live Aware Desktop Recorder. You can send Playtesters these codes or links yourself, or by using will be sent this code to start their playtesting. The code will be valid for the predetermined duration of the Playtest Session.
